Cold setting inorganic networks including phosphates
The aim of the experimental investigations is to find out possibilities for compositional and structural modifications of inorganic network binders (silicates and aluminosilicates) in respect to new application fields by the chemical reaction of different phosphates. The preparations have been made in two ways: (1) addition of cyclo-phosphates to water-glass solutions and (2) reactions of phosphoric acid with convenient types of reactive oxides like Fe2O3 and Al2O3.2SiO2. Aspects of the setting, structure and compositions of the networks are discussed. The results demonstrate glass-like binder materials and improved durabilities for special applications in construction components under strong chemical attack.
