Reinforced concrete structures have the potential application in civil engineering and nuclear engineering to be capable enough to withstanding a variety of adverse environmental conditions. However, failures in the structures do still possible because of premature reinforcement corrosion of rebar. There is a great demand for the development of non-destructive and non contact testing (NDT) techniques for concrete structures has increased with the growing concern about the deteriorating condition of the concrete structures. This paper presents a finite element modeling and simulation for pulsed phase thermography (PPT). Simulation results have been proven PPT is an effective technique for detection of corrosion in rebar in the concrete samples from.
