Reflections from Territorialism — Case Study of the Conservation and Revitalization of Qiantong Ancient Town
This paper discusses conservation and revitalization of historic town based on the principle of territorialism. The objective is to find out appropriate solutions for a given place and to keep its historic and cultural value. It develops corresponding analysis, planning and application with emphasizing on the features of a specific locality. The paper considers not only the material cultural heritages of a historic town, but also intangible aspects such as social integration. It advocates a territory-base development mode.
