High-alumina self-flow castable with different cement binders
A high-alumina self-flow castable was developed with a distribution coefficient q=0.21 (Dinger-Funk's continuous particle size distribution model) using two different types of high-alumina cements at an amount of 4 and 6 mass-%. Castable compositions were processed as per conventional processing techniques and self-flowing characteristics were obtained using a maximum water content of 5.2 %. All compositions were studied for their flowability and various properties under dried and fired conditions.
