Study long-term behavior of building integrated photovoltaic panels - thermal effects
This paper presents the results of the study on long-term behavior of building integrated photovoltaic panels. With the application, 10 kWp PV systems integrated in south façade of Solar Amphitheater, which is in operation since May of 2001, the authors present some considerations of degradation caused by thermal effects developed on the PV panels. In this sense, are presented the results of thermal modeling of PV panels, depending on the type of integration, manufacturing technology and operating conditions. It were also presents the analysis of experimental results for PV panels with different structures and manufacturing technologies and are established several design criteria for building integration of PV modules. As future research direction is concerned with analysis of photovoltaic modules which will be integrated on the façade and terrace of the new building of Scientific and Multidisciplinary Technological Research Institute from University VALAHIA of Targoviste.
