Investigation into core sand bonded with Cordis-Anorgit composition
There have been developed core sand compositions based on modified Cordis water glass and inorganic Anorgit additive using sands from some of the domestic deposits. It is shown that when using sand from Tashla sand quarry the consumption of Cordis binder is 2 times lower than when using sand from Basyanovsky sand quarry. The evaluation of shakeout capability and loss on ignition value of the obtained core sand produced results showing the expediency of using the investigated binder composition in the large-scale production as an alternative to synthetic resins.
