Real-time optimized control of water distribution systems
Presents the design of a fully automated real-time computer control scheme for least cost operation of typical water distribution systems. The scheme includes modules for optimized pump scheduling, water demand prediction, and complete system simulation. A set of real-time modules complement the applications modules to form a sophisticated online computer control procedure. The scheme is currently being implemented as part of an overall management facility for a city distribution network in the United Kingdom.
