New NFPA-99 requirements for electrical systems in health care facilities
The 1990 Edition of NFPA-99 Standard for Health Care Facilities was approved by the National Fire Protection Association at its November 13-15, 1989 fall meeting in Seattle, Washington. An analysis of the changes affecting the essential electrical system, with specific consideration of the transfer equipment, is presented. How the new edition can help improve the dependability and proper continuity of such systems is addressed.
