Controlled-frequency flotation
This article describes a practical application of frequency-regulated electric motors. The Waterworks was equipped in 1990 with an innovative water purification plant, the electrical part being implemented by Holec. In the light of positive experience a new unit is to be similarly equipped. A brief description is given of the purification process and of the electrical installation, stressing the recorded development since the commissioning of the first plant in the field of power electronics, and development already perceptible in the new one.
