Honor lecture: The world of owner project management development of owner project management technology
Owner Project Management Technology was invented and applied successfully by American operating companies during the massive post-war reconstruction of Europe. Today, Owner Project Management is being applied in third world countries to yield fast project schedules and cost effective plants. On the other hand excessive inflation of project construction costs, especially in developed areas of the world, coupled with poorer quality Owner Project Management in those developed areas has caused a decline in project execution economics with resulting increased costs of manufactured products. In some developed areas the overuse of high-tech tools plus failure to employ independent high quality Ownern Project Management leadership have resulted in excessive inflation of major project costs and drastically longer project schedules.
