Laser processing of porous glasses
We investigated the processes of power laser radiation interaction with porous glasses. These glasses are promising materials for application in a number of electronic and optoelectronic devices where complicated geometrical profiles of glass substrates must be formed. It was found that threshold values of radiation energies efficient for laser processing were much lower than those for solid glasses. Threshold values depended significantly upon the presence of water in the framework of porous glasses.
