Vibration characteristics of beams with multiple delaminations
Effects of delaminations on the dynamic characteristics of layered composites can be used to detect the size and the location of delaminations in composite structures. Two higher order theories are used to study the effect of shear deformation and rotary inertia on natural frequencies and mode shapes of composite beams with delaminations. Mode shapes and natural frequencies of beam structures with multiple delaminations are studied in this paper.
