A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
A new technique for industrialization tests on underground coal gasification is proposed. The bad practice of traditional underground gasification is pointed out, the superiority of the underground gasification in long, large section tunnels is explained and the new technologies of two-stage gasification, double fire source, inverse combustion gasification, multifunction holes, and pressing and pumping combination are introduced. The test results are analysed. The success of this industrialization project indicates that underground coal gasification has made a long step forward to commercialization in China. The results further prove the feasibility of the new technique.
