Analyzing in-place concrete tests by computer
A real-time computer-based system that permits rigorous statistical analysis of the results of in-place concrete strength evaluations has been developed. The In-Place Test Analysis and Correlation (INPLACE) module permits reliable estimates of concrete strength by means of in-place tests performed on the structure. The user only needs to enter in-place test data obtained in the field. INPLACE takes care of the data management and statistical computations, and then generates, in real-time an estimate of the in-place strength. The INPLACE results from sample problems showed good agreement with results obtained from a spreadsheet program set up to perform the same calculations.
