Submitting of Architectural Redundancy Concept through the Study on Changes in Per Capita Living Space Demands of Urban Residences
At present, China is the country with the maximum quantity of annual new construction in the world, but the average life of the buildings is very short. Through the analysis of the urban per capita living space of macro data variations and individual environmental psychology, it is raised that design lacks of “redundancy" is one of the important reasons.”Redundancy" is to consider the future needs in design , "redundancy" concept is introduced in the field of architecture, for solving that our country’s building lives are generally in a short situation. It is also an important way to realize the sustainable development.
