Function Evolution of Urban Underground Space Before 20th
This paper research the historical functions and causality of underground space in the city's development .Before city appeared ,people use underground with unconsciousness ,as the nature characteristics of underground space, the Cave,tomb,and basement are the basic form of underground space.When the city appeared, the underground was used systematic, and the underground space planning appeared.With the development of city ,the development of underground space planning will be divided into eight stages .In every stage ,underground space played a special role in urban, and its function evoluted by the development of city.
