Untersuchungen zur Querkrafttragfähigkeit von querkraftbewehrten Elementen aus Porenbeton
Tests of reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) beams show that the bearing capacity is limited by local failure of the anchorage of the stirrups. AAC is a brittle material with low stiffness and strength. Because is impossible to anchor the stirrups in the surrounding AAC only by bond, longitudinal bars welded to the stirrups are provided. The shear capacity can be estimated using a strut-and-tie model in combination with energy and deformation conditions.
