The leaves preceding quire "a" occur in one or more of the following forms: (1) a bifolium with "Opera regia" on one page, the others blank; (2) a bifolium with a portrait of King James on the first verso and an engraved title on the second recto; (3) same as (2), with "Opera regia" on the first recto; (4) a bifolium, first recto bearing the royal arms in woodcut, the second bearing the letterpress title page as above.
