Environmental and economic performance of alternative ultra‐high‐performance concrete
AbstractThis paper presents the environmental and economic performance of ultra‐high‐performance concrete (UHPC) with alternative eco‐efficient formulations. A reference UHPC was defined, and changes to its composition were defined to minimize the impacts caused by it, namely the reduction in cement's incorporation rate by adding supplementary cementitious materials. The expected results in terms of the reduction of the environmental impacts of the mixes were achieved. However, the metal fibers showed a significant negative impact on the environmental and economic dimensions.
