Single Plate Shear Connections
A comparison between results from the component‐based finite element method (CBFEM) and traditional calculation methods used in US practice for single plate shear connections is presented in this chapter. Both conventional and extended configurations are investigated. Variation of strength with respect to the location of the point of zero moment is explored.
