Misinterpretation of Soviet View Corrected
The author of this letter to the editor corrects some errors in a “Viewpoint” article in the October 1984 Journal American Water Works Association. The author points out that references in the earlier article to “waterless” technologies did not mean “water reuse.” Secondly, the author states that the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) falls into the category of regulation of the quality of consumer products rather than environmental regulations and that he is aware that it is not the only form of federal regulation of environmental quality in the United States.
