Norwegian AquaFence Offers Alternative to Sandbags
The article describes a patented flood protection system, AquaFence, that is a transportable flood protection barrier that can be quickly put in place when there is danger of flooding. The fence is made up of a series of aluminum or wooden flood barrier modules that are lifted into place after transportation to the flood location. AquaFence is available as a mobile version for installation on hard ground or as a semimobile version for softer ground. After a flood, AquaFence is easily dismantled, stored, and made ready for the next flood.
