A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Conceptual Design
This chapter offers guidance to users on how to get started with Autodesk® Dynamo®, connect nodes to make dataflow, use additional Dynamo tools, and understand the Autodesk® FormIt® to Revit workflow. The reference lines were dimensioned with equality constraints based on the reference planes defining the origin. Overall dimensions were placed and associated with the W0 parameter. The control arrow allows users to modify the selected element parallel to the direction of the arrow, whereas the angled indicators of the same colors as their corresponding arrows allow users to modify the location of the selected element perpendicular to the arrow. An edge may be added to an existing form from vertex to vertex or parallel with the trajectory of the form. Once users are out of In‐Place Massing mode, users will notice that if they select the model, many shape handles simultaneously appear in the form of solid blue arrowheads. Dynamo is a visual programming interface plug‐in for Revit. It is also available as a standalone application known as Dynamo Studio.
