HUMAN COMFORT ASSESSMENT OF STEEL‐CONCRETE COMPOSITE FLOORS
This research work aims to evaluate the steel‐concrete composite floors dynamic structural response, based on experimental tests and numerical modelling. The investigated structural system is an actual and existing project of a steel‐concrete composite floor, with total area of 1300 m2, used as a teaching hospital of a private university in Belo Horizonte/MG, Brazil. Grounded on the developed analysis methodology, the dynamic response of the floor (natural frequencies and peak accelerations) are compared with the results obtained through the numerical model and with the limits proposed by standards and design recommendations, aiming at the structure's performance evaluation with regard to human comfort.
