Experimental analysis of bi‐directional pile static load test
The paper presents the results of the Osterberg load tests performed at Belgrade Waterfront test site. Test results enabled evaluation of side friction and end bearing of the limestone/marlstone formation otherwise difficult to access. Mobilized side friction is several times larger than the side friction commonly used in design by practitioners for the large diameter drilled shafts. High pressure O‐cells manage to achieve 60 MN load (30 MN in each direction) which is significantly higher than specified design load.
