Suggested Method for Iodide Determination
This article presents a modification of the method of iodide determination by Lein and Schwartz that takes less than an hour. The general principle is discussed, along with the following topics: interferences; apparatus including colorimetric equipment, spectrophotometer, filter photometer, and timer; reagents including acid‐permanganate solution, salt‐arsenite solution, ceric sulfate solution, stock iodide solution, working iodide solution, and hypochlorite solution; procedure; calculations; and precision and accuracy.
