Ground Water Contamination in Indiana
Groundwater quality changes that indicate contamination have been observed in several places in Indiana. Most of the contamination is local, but regardless of type, extent, and severity, its cause can generally be traced to the action of man. This article points out types of contamination of groundwater in the state and describes, where possible, the cause and effect of specific types. The article discusses bacterial contamination, saline water, sulfate, chromate, and phenol.
