GAN‐Physarum: Shaping the Future of the Urbansphere
Co‐founders of the London architectural practice ecoLogicStudio, Claudia Pasquero and Marco Poletto have long been interested in the bio‐digital, the synthesis between biology, computer algorithms and machine learning. In this article they describe and discuss their recent project GAN‐Physarum, in effect a virtual slime mould creating a modern take on Constant Nieuwenhuys's visionary New Babylon project (1956–74) and its dérives, and unleashed on a virtual Paris.
