Introducing the Coagulation and Filtration Committee
The primary goal of the Coagulation and Filtration Committee is to advance and disseminate knowledge that promotes the effective and economical application of coagulation and filtration in water treatment, especially as it relates to new processes, new applications, and new regulations. The committee has used AWWA's Opflow newsletter as a means of communicating information to the membership, along with “hands‐on” workshops that have proven to be a very effective means of communication. The article also discusses revising AWWA's M37 Manual, describes a committee report on high‐rate clarification, and lists the volunteers that serve on the committee.
