Disposable Flat Panel Airlift Photobioreactors
Single‐use technology based on disposable bioreactors is gaining more and more importance in biotechnology due its high flexibility, easy handling and ready‐to‐use character when supplied. A disposable, low‐cost, transparent flat panel airlift photobioreactor with optimized flow regime for the efficient cultivation of microalgae and production of microalgal metabolites is presented and possible applications are discussed.
