Analysis of issues arising from the case studies
This gives an analysis of issues arising from the 12 case studies in the wider context of analysis of modern methods and low energy construction used in other projects. Criticisms are made of how many of the projects built without renewable materials fail to reach energy targets. Adapting timber frame construction to the use of natural materials, detailing, design problems and warranty issues are covered. Weather related issues, drying out of hempcrete, use of permanent shuttering and different forms of hemp building are explained, as are wood fibre construction issues.
