State Revolving Loan Fund Outlook
This article discusses the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF), created by amendments to the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) in 1996. Funding assistance for projects include: the costs of infrastructure needed to achieve or maintain compliance with SDWA requirements and to protect public health; capitalization grants to the states, which in turn can provide low‐cost loans and other types of assistance to eligible systems; and, capitalization grants for administrative costs and program funding for capacity development and source water protection.
