New Ozone System Reduces Pipeline Disinfection Time
Two years of research by the consulting firm CDM and Denver Water that involved the utility's distribution pipelines in Denver, CO, has identified a new process to disinfect pipelines using ozone. The patent‐pending Rapid Pipeline Disinfection system uses mass transfer and degassing technology from Mazzei Inject – GDT Corp. and Floating Plate (TM) air‐cooled, ozone‐generating technology from Pacific Ozone Technology. The effectiveness of the new ozone system is discussed.
