Ein prototypisches Kunststoff‐Faltwerk ist von der Klasse für Konstruktives Entwerfen und Tragwerkslehre der Staatlichen Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart entwickelt und in Eigenarbeit realisiert worden. Ein hochleistungsfähiges Tragwerkskonzept mit komplexer Geometrie, ein innovativer und hochwertiger Werkstoff und eine neu entwickelte Fügetechnologie sind die besonderen Kennzeichen des spektakulären Experimentalbaus. Der Beitrag beschreibt die Objektplanung, die Tragwerksplanung sowie die Herstellung und Montage des Kunststoff‐Faltwerks.
Prototypic plastic folded‐plate structure with custom designed detachable jointing technique.
The class for structural design of the State Academy of Art and Design Stuttgart has designed and realized a prototype for a plastic folded‐plate structure. The special features of the spectacular experimental building are the high‐performance structure, an innovative high‐class material plus a custom designed detachable joining technique. The article describes the conceptual design, the structural design as well as production and assembly of the plastic structure.
