In his column, AWWA Executive Director Jack Hoffbuhr relates how an Australian veterinarian and biochemical pathologist, Russell Beckett, has patented a specific water concoction called “Unique Water.” This Australian water contains magnesium bicarbonate, which acts as a buffer to the body's cells from the harmful effects of carbon dioxide produced in the body and the acids it creates, causing degeneration and inflammation such as arthritis, osteoporosis, cartilage loss, and Alzheimer's disease.
