This article announces that WEDECO Ideal Horizons Inc., the US subsidiary of WEDECO AG Water Technology of Dusseldorf, Germany, has been selected to supply large‐scale ultraviolet (UV) disinfection systems for US water utilities in Georgia and Utah. These two contracts represent the largest foray yet into the North American market for WEDECO AG, a company that is well‐known for its UV systems in Europe. The company's largest US facility will be in the Salt Lake area, and three plants in the Atlanta area are scheduled to be retrofitted.
