Optimization of Flocculation Time Prior to Direct Filtration
Experiments indicate that direct filtration without sedimentation, when preceded by the use of coagulants and adequate flocculation time, can produce finished water turbidities and particle size distributions equivalent to those obtained by more conventional complete treatment.
