Regulation of Water Levels in the Great Lakes
Some knowledge of the Great Lakes system as a whole is essential to an understanding of the possibilities (and limitations) of reducing the extremes of lake levels. This article, therefore, first indicates salient features of the system, then discusses variations in the lake levels, and finally examines the problem of regulating the lake levels.
