A Two‐Dimensional Laminated V2O5 Membrane for Metal Ions Separation
A new kind of lamellar membrane based on V2O5 nanosheets supported on anodic aluminum oxide substrate has been developed. The fabricated V2O5 membrane shows relatively higher selectivity to mono‐/divalent metal ions than trivalent metal ions, demonstrating that it favors rejecting the molecules with sizes larger than 0.95 nm. Remarkably, the ion permeability of V2O5 membrane is much superior to that of other well‐known two‐dimensional membranes owing to its large interlayer distance. These findings make it possible to construct nanoporous 2D membranes for gas separation and ion sieving.
