90 Jahre Chemie Ingenieur Technik (CIT) spiegeln wesentliche Meilensteine der Entwicklung der Biotechnologie und Bioprozesstechnik wider. In diesem Artikel werden einige der wichtigsten Entwicklungen vorgestellt und die Ausbildung von Trends in der Bioverfahrenstechnik nachgezeichnet. Beim Lesen der älteren Artikel lässt sich feststellen, dass einige der aktuellen Forschungsgebiete durchaus nicht ganz so neu sind, sondern vielversprechende Ansätze auch früher schon bearbeitet wurden.
90 years of Chemie Ingenieur Technik (CIT) reflect important milestones in the development of biotechnology and bioprocess technology. This article presents some of the most important developments and traces some trends in bioprocess engineering. Reading the older articles, it can be seen that some of the current research areas are not quite so new, and promising approaches have already been worked on in the past.
