A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
The purpose of the presentation is not just to 'sell' one's design, but more importantly to ensure that the client knows exactly what the finished building will be like. The most important point is that he/she must involve the client at every stage of the design process so that the finished appearance of the project does not come as a surprise and, hopefully, not as a shock. So, as the design evolves in logical stages, he/she discusses it with the client. The client’s participation generates understanding and acceptance of responsibility for decision. The way in which he/she presents the scheme to the client is very important. Every architect has his or her own ideas about presentation, but the most important thing is to present the scheme so that the client can understand it. Never overestimate the client’s capabilities in this direction.
