Service Report on Coal‐Tar Enamel Protective Coating for Pipelines
This article discusses a 1966 inspection report of one of the earliest major centrifugal applications of plasticized coal‐tar enamel, a 10.3‐mi section of the upper feeder portion of the Colorado River Aqueduct distribution system, known as the Santa Ana River siphon. In 1966, this line was 28 yrs. old and was found to still be in excellent condition with no signs of deterioration, sagging, or checking of the lining.
