The huge potential for recycling wastewater is considered. The example of Singapore, world leader in treating wastewater for subsequent re‐use in the water supply system (a resource known as NEWater) is described. Problems of drought in Australia and sewer mining are also described. Grey water recycling techniques, examples and uses, including producing water for irrigation and toilet flushing are also discussed.
