Deterioration of water quality in large distribution reservoirs (open reservoirs)
The quality of water in open, finished‐water reservoirs of three distribution systems was monitored in order to ascertain the degree to which water quality deteriorates during storage in the reservoirs. Data are presented from monitoring programs conducted by the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, the Seattle (Wash.) Water Department, and the Hackensack (N.J.) Water Company.
