In this chapter, the author shares the discussion he had in an interview with Andre Brumfield, a global leader of Gensler's Cities & Urban Design practice. As a Design Director and Principal based in the firm's Chicago office, Andre has worked nationally with developers, public agencies, and non‐profit organizations to develop affordable and mixed‐income housing. His strong background in transit‐oriented development, corridor master planning and repositioning urban industrial centers is also reflected in his built projects.
