Spreadsheets are a powerful tool for solving water chemistry problems.
Procedures for solving problems of equilibrium chemistry are demonstrated through the use of spreadsheet calculations. For most simple problems, these calculations are less costly and more reliable than bench‐scale testing. Once such a spreadsheet has been constructed, it can be reused without duplicating the original effort. Spreadsheet technology makes calculations of this sort accessible to more users than the traditional methods.
