Massive Outer Walls Insulated Either Inside or Outside
Considering that even with massive lightweight masonry of acceptable thickness, it's no longer possible to meet the mandated thermal transmittance requirements, a solution applicable to any type of massive wall could consist of either adding insulation at the inside or at the outside. In this chapters both options with various assemblies are evaluated.
