Documenting Your Design
This chapter helps architects learn how to document plans; create schedules and legends; and lay out sheets. It introduces a scenario that mimics what might happen on a real project in a preliminary design phase. Using the integrated documentation tools in Autodesk® Revit® software, architects can create document sets with more accuracy and reliability than in the past. Schedules can list document elements such as sheets, keynotes, and views. Legends and schedules are unique in their behavior as a view because they are the only views that can be placed on multiple sheets. Using a sheet list schedule, architects can create a tabular view of sheets in their project, even including drawings provided by consultants. This type of schedule allows them to create placeholders for sheets that are not yet created or that will not be part of their discipline's drawing set.
