The following Roundtable discussion took place during the AWWA Annual Conference at St. Louis, Mo., on June 9,1981. Participants included Jack E. Layne, chairman, director of engineering for the Denver (Colo.) Water Department; Charles N. Bohrer, general contractor of Dunwoody, Ga.; Walter B. Sinnott, an engineer with Hazen and Sawyer of New York City; Jeptha A. Wade, Jr., chief engineer of the California Water Service Co., San Jose, Calif.; and Glen H. Abplanalp, special consultant to Havens and Emerson, Inc., engineers, of Saddle Brook, N.J.
