Removing trihalomethane precursors by permanganate oxidation and manganese dioxide adsorption
Pretreatment of drinking water with potassium permanganate can result in the oxidation of THM precursors. Additionally, the manganese dioxide precipitate that is generated by the reduction of permanganate can adsorb THM precursors.
